“The story of a song… Willie Nelson wrote ‘Crazy’ and Patsy Cline sang it in Nashville in 1962. I grew up hearing it in the ’90s and ’00s. Last November, I played it live with my band and then about a month later went to Brooklyn with Ricky Ramos on guitar and recorded it. Ricky mixed it in Washington Heights and then it made its way back home to Nashville to be mastered by Dan Shike. The photo was taken my Sarah Smiley in Madison, WI and the watercolor was painted by Liz Weaver in Maryland. All these little pieces came together in my apartment in NYC where it was stitched up, put together, and uploaded to a mysterious portal that gets the song everywhere it needs to go (thank you, InGrooves!). And now it’s yours to stream or download or ignore! 😜 And that’s the story of a song.”
